Uploading Files

Click Add Connection

From the Data page, click Add Connection.

Choose Upload

Select Upload Files as your connection type.

Drag and Drop

Drop your files into the upload area. You can upload multiple files at once.

Name Your Connection

Give this data source a meaningful name (e.g., “Sales Data Q4” or “Customer Records”).
File size limits: Individual files up to 100MB. For larger datasets, consider using a database connection.

Connecting a Database

Click Add Connection

From the Data page, click Add Connection.

Choose Database Type

Select your database type from the list.

Enter Credentials

Provide connection details:
  • Host / Connection string
  • Database name
  • Username and password

Test Connection

Click Test to verify the connection works before saving.
Your credentials are encrypted and stored securely. SkoutLab only reads data — it never modifies your database.

After Connecting

Once your data is connected:
  1. Start Learning — Click the “Start Learning” button to let AI explore your data
  2. View Schema — See what tables and columns were discovered
  3. Ask Questions — Start creating analysis tasks
