Creating an Analysis Task

Click New Task

From the home page or sidebar, click New Task.

Select Data Sources

Choose which data connections to include in this analysis. You can select multiple sources.

Enter Your Question (Optional)

You have two options:Ask a specific question:
“Why did sales decline in the Western region last month?”
Or let AI explore freely:
Leave blank and SkoutLab will find the most interesting patterns automatically

Start Analysis

Click Analyze and let the AI work. This typically takes 2-5 minutes.

What Happens During Analysis

Behind the scenes, SkoutLab’s AI agents:
The AI scans your data to understand its structure, identify key metrics, and find potential areas of interest.
Based on patterns found, the AI formulates testable hypotheses like:
  • “Revenue declined because Product X underperformed”
  • “Customer churn increased in Segment Y”
Each hypothesis is rigorously tested with statistical analysis to ensure findings are significant, not random noise.
Findings are ranked by business impact and compiled into an actionable report.
